We have been fortunate to receive a grant for Term One from Sporting Schools.
Sporting Schools is a $160 million Australian Government initiative to get children committed to a lifelong love of sport. It is important that we expose the students to a variety of sports so hopefully they find one that they would consider outside of school and continue to enjoy into adulthood.
The sport chosen for this term is Hockey and we have had Hockey Victoria this week teach all the students at St.Richards the basic skills of dribbling and passing in games and challenges. Should your child wish to pursue Hockey the closest club is Croydon Ranges.
A big thank you to all the students for following our school expectations during these sessions. Well done.

What a great day. Congratulation to all the Junior classes for reaching our target. The day started with a visit from Carol, Eva and Morgan from the Responsible Pet Ownership Program. We learnt how to approach a friendly dog, and what to do if we meet a dog that is not friendly. We met Morgan the Great Dane. He was bigger than most of the Preps.
We had a maths session in the hall. We graphed our pets and ordered them by size.
At lunchtime we could have animal sandwiches. Kaitlyn had dolphins.
