Prep GM Blog Learning together at St Richard's Primary School 

Just before the holidays our egg hatched. We are pleased to announce the arrival of Kevin the Kiwi. According to the instructions Kevin stays in the water. I wonder what will happen next.

This week Fireman Daniel, Richard and Dean came to visit. They are from Croydon Fire Station. They taught us about safe and unsafe fires, how to check our smoke detectors, a safe meeting place at our home and how to contact them in an emergency. They taught us to crawl down low and go, go go in case a room was filled with smoke. Fireman Richard showed us what he would wear if he was fighting a fire. He sounded like Darth Vadar. Next week they are coming back to show us the Fire Engine and we get to squirt things.

Thank you to all those who helped make this such a wonderful celebration. A very delicious lunch was had by all.

Congratulations to Emma, Chris, Alana and Jackson on the safe and long awaited arrival of Billie Louise.

Mrs. Gommers bought and egg in New Zealand. We put it in water and waited and watched. We guessed what would hatch out of the egg. We will keep you posted.

We welcomed Archbishop Denis Hart to our Prep GM classroom. Thank you to Violet for introducing him so well.

In Term 2 we have worked hard to collect bees and Super Bees. Our special reward days are a thank you to the children for following St. Richard’s expectations. We had so much fun on these days as you can see in the photos.
