St. Richard’s Primary School have been reflecting on what it means to belong to a Church Community and plan ways to follow in Jesus’ footsteps by helping others in need.

So the Year 3 – 6 students have teamed together to collect donations for St. Vincent de Paul’s Winter Appeal.

Year 5/6 students have created posters which you will soon see around the school and the Year 3/4 students have created advertisements  to try and persuade you to make a difference this Winter.

We will place tubs in both the Yellow and Blue Buildings at St. Richard’s Primary School for your kind donations.

Thank you for making a difference this Winter!

From all of the Year 3 – 6 students.

Check out some of these fantastic ads from Year 3/4.

The end or Term 3 was very exciting with our Inquiry Afternoon showing off our Dioramas based on the Dreamtime stories we have been reading. We also showed off what we have been doing with QR codes and Beebots.

We made our Super Bee target. We had a Art and Craft session for our reward.

Congratulations Levi on winning the Italian prize for this term.

What a great day.  Congratulation to all the Junior classes for reaching our target.  The day started with a visit from Carol, Eva and Morgan from the Responsible Pet Ownership Program.  We learnt how to approach a friendly dog, and what to do if we meet a dog that is not friendly.  We met Morgan the Great Dane.  He was bigger than most of the Preps.

We had a maths session in the hall.  We graphed our pets and ordered them by size.

At lunchtime we could have animal sandwiches.  Kaitlyn had dolphins.

How good was it to wear warm pyjamas to school.  We had a great day.  We watched a movie that was about Hans Christian Anderson.  In the afternoon we made a chair for Baby Bear.  It had to have four legs, a high back, be able to support Baby Bear and of course be ‘just right’.

The Junior School had a fantastic ‘Rewards Day’.  Our Art Attack Day was a great success with many art works created.  We cannot show you the art work (you have to wait till the Art Show) but we can show you some of the artists
